MISC NOTES: Thirty-year-old Portland singer / songwriter / guitarist Lew Jones has been performing around the Northwestern Oregon area, both in groups and as s single, for the past decade.  During the past three years he's also devoted his time and energies to committing his original compositions to vinyl, an effort which saw release of his first record in 1978 ("I Think I'm Going To Rain Tonight" / "Terwilliger Bridge" Ripcord Records 45-168), a second in '79 ("Flower Beds And Fools" / "I Was Raised in Portland Town" Ripcord 45 - 177) and, now a third via his own Terwilliger Record label. Commenting on the latest songs, Lew characterizes "I Can't Believe You Don't Love Me" as an uptempo, English-influenced rock number with lyrical focus on broken love. As for "Honey In The Sun",  Lew says the tune is a slow love ballad inspired by French folk songs. [NORTHWEST DISC-COVERIES & SOUND REPORT  Volume 6 #1 March, 1981]
