Misc Notes: Moby Grape was a first-tier band of the psychedelic rock era which -- in 1966 -- morphed into existence out of Seattle's pioneering 1950s combo, The Frantics. It included two Frantics / Seattle musicians, Jerry Miller (guitar), and Don Stevenson (drums). Signed to a major label, Columbia Records, Moby Grape wowed audiences and record buyers with its sophisticated blend of rock, folk, psychedelia, and the band's excellent songwriting, musicianship and harmonious vocalizing.

Initial album release included poster reproduction of album jacket front "costumed" band photo. In that photo - on both the lp jacket and the poster - Don Stevenson (drums) was shown "giving the finger." This feature was airbrushed out of later printings of both.
