At some point, likely in the 1980s Capitol Records assumed command of the Silver Spotlight Series from United Artists. During Capitol's watch the black label background with the 1957 Chevy label logo format continued.
Essentially the only changes made to the label was in conjunction with disc numbering and the addition of the Capitol logo and other manufacturing and distribution information printed along the bottom edge of the paper label.
Not known is how many of the "Northwest Artist" discs were acquired and continued in distribution by Capitol. It may be that all were carried over from UA to Capitol, but that an example of each has not yet been located and cataloged.
Also not known is how long Capitol continued the Silver Spotlight Series before retiring it.
