Lazy Sunday

SERIAL#: SLP - 1064
DATE: 1979 - 10

MISC NOTES: Conrad Bennett played guitar and wrote music for his own enjoyment for a number of years and, he says, if you'd have asked him a few years back if he'd be performing professionally and recording, he'd have said "No way." Now, though, this thirty-three year-old artist from Longview, Washington has his first record album and has appeared in churches, conferences and Christian music clubs along the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada. Original songs chosen for the recording stage of his music career - a career which the employee of the Rainier National Bank in Longview says he is learning as he goes - are characterized by Conrad as light, country gospel with lyrical content based on personal experiences or Biblical scriptures. Styles vary from humerus to meditative.[ NORTHWEST DISC-COVERIES  and SOUND REPORT Volume 4 #10 December, 1979]
