"Love You So" / "I Think I'm Going To Cry"

ARTIST: HOLDEN, RON
SERIAL#: R.H.-001
DATE: 1981-05

MISC NOTES: "In 1960 a young singer/songwriter got together with a tape recorder and a band called The Thunderbirds in a Seattle home to track some original tunes. Eighteen hours and ninety takes later 'Love You So' was ready to make recording history. In the years since its initial release the song has sold copies into the three plus millions and taken it's originator throughout the world. In 1978 Holden returned to his native Seattle where he has since been appearing in local clubs with his own Ron Holden Review. Now, he returns to vinyl with an "updated rendition of his immortal 'Love You So.'  The 'updating', emphasizes Ron has been in he areas of utilizing modern recording techniques to bring out the vocals and clean up instrumental tracks, not in terms of rearranging or otherwise tampering with the classic work. Backing 'Love You So' on this outing is 'I Think I'm Going To Cry', a mid tempoed ballad that Holden characterizes as have a "country flavor with a bit of Barry White 'thrown in.' Proceeds from the record's sale will go to Children's Orthopedic Hospital."
