"Mountain Man" / "Cheer Up"

SERIAL#: -1349
DATE: 1980-11

MISC NOTES: "Life's experiences and a deep love of music have taken Sister Yvonne from a hobbiest's of musical interests to professional status within the field. Serving as choir director for St. John's Catholic parish in north Seattle, earlier this year the Sister released an alum of her original works titled "Chasing A Rainbow" (Topaz Records TLS - 1235 Seattle, WA).  With the eruption of Mt. St. Helens came the desire to release a tune about the event, a motivation which has lead to "Mountain Man."  Sister Yvonne characterizes the song as a thoughtful folk ballad focusing on the emotional bond that existed between Harry Truman and The Mountain, a relationship that was as strong as that between many humans. Chosen to accompany "Mountain Man" is "Cheer Up", a happy uptempo cut from the "Chasing A Rainbow" album. Sister Yvonne describes the tune as one of the most requested songs from the package."
