Misc Notes: Rosalie Ann Stringfellow was born in Boise, Idaho. In 1952 she married Jim Sorrels and they moved to Utah. They both played guitar and sang western folk songs. In 1961 the couple recorded the Folk Songs of Idaho and Utah album for the Smithsonian' Institution. Then came their Rosalie Sorrels Sings Songs of the Mormon Pioneers album. She came to wider public attention after performing at the 1966 Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. Three years later she was on the bill at Woodstock, and then at the Isle of Wight festival in 1972.
