"My Divorce Day" / "Adios Amigo"

ARTIST: GOSS, BILL
SERIAL#: 45-196
DATE: 1980-10

MISC NOTES: Single outing for fifty-two-year-old Eugene, Oregon country artist Bill Goss. The Oklahoma born singer has enjoyed music all his life, but has been actively pursuing a vocal career only in recent years. "Mr. Country with the velvet voice" recently applied his distinctive baritone bass stylings to an album of tunes by the immortal Jim Reeves (Bill Goss Sings Jim Reeves, Ripcord Records SLP 1080 Vancouver, WA). Here Bill presents his original "My Divorce Day", an up tempo country number concerned with the always present "love gone bad" and "Adios Amigo." As for the latter, Mr. Goss characterizes the mid tempo song as another episode in the old story of two friends in love with the same woman.
