You Set My Spirit Free

SERIAL#: SLP - 1080
DATE: 1980 - 12

MISC NOTES: Debut album from a family oriented gospel act focused around Orville Hessch, his wife, Alice and daughters Melody, Valerie, Harmonia and Cherri. The family's two decades of singing -  since 1974 -  have taken them from native South Dakota, Oregon and, most recently, Colville, Washington. Commenting on the family's appearances for religious gatherings and churches throughout the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Heesch says the act's musical strength is in having two lead vocalists backed by strong four part harmonies. As for the song choices, Orville says they were chosen for inclusion because of their popularity at the Family's concerts. Tempoes vary within the package, but all songs showcase the Heesch Family Singers delivering the message of Christ. [NORTHWEST DISC-COVERIES & SOUND REPORT  Volume 6 #3  May, 1981.]
