Misc Notes: Alberta Bailey was a start accordionist in from the 1920s on. She performed on KFOA radio as a soloist, and around 1925 formed an all-female band: Alberta and her Melody Queens. By 1923 her daughter Clydena was also an active member of the Seattle Musician's Union AFM Local No. 76 -- and on occasion she would fill in for her mother when Alberta couln't make it to a gig. Clydena went on to change her name to Marion Bailey. Alberta went on to join Zona McConnell's Serenaders, which toured to Hollywood, got a manager, changed their name to Las Senoritas, performed at various notorious Prohibition Era speakeasies, toured through Alaska, and then returned home to Seattle. Bailey worked steadily in Seattle for decades.
