Misc Notes: A young musical fellow who was "discovered" in Oregon in 1958 by Charles J. Klemer who was associated with the Los Angeles label, Lyric Records. In 1959 Klemer -- who had been born in Eugene and raised there, Coos Bay, and Portland -- founded his own Ever-Green Records in 1959. Klemer also produced Childress' song "Valley of Romance" for Lyric Records.
