CORYELL TRIO, The LARRY

Misc Notes: Larry Coryell (guitar); Sarge West (organ); Dean Hodges (drums). Coryell formed this trio after a few years with The Dynamics. The trio gigged around town, but mainly at The Embers nightclub in West Seattle. When Coryell split for NYC, Hodges went on to play with the Dave Lewis Trio.

Decades later West and Hodges joined up with former Wailers guitarist Rich Dangel to form a trio called Sledgehammer. As far as is known, Sledgehammer, like the Coryell Trio did not do any recordings.
