Misc Notes: Helen Greco was born in September 20, 1924 in Tacoma. Heard by Bing Crosby, she was encouraged by him to go to Hollywood where in 1932 she was hired by KHJ radio. That led to her appearance in the Marx brothers' 1935 MGM movie, A Night at the Opera, and in Universal Studios' 1938 film, That Certain Age. As a high-schooler, she began singing and touring with the Stan Kenton band. In 1946 Spike Jones hired her as a singer and they married in 1949. Adopting the stage name of Grayco, she released her first single in 1949,  her two memorable albums, 1957's After Midnight and 1958's The Lady in Red.
