Misc Notes: Grover "Dusty" Jackson was a Tennessee-born guitarist / bandleader who Around 1951-1952, Jackson was with Bremerton, Washington's Arkie Shibley and the Mountain Dew Boys, playing lead guitar on recordings including: "Guitar Hoedown" and "Hot Woodpecker Rag." By 1954 Jackson was with a Modesto, California-based band led by Chester Smith (who had also played with Shibley). Then, for many years Jackson was a key figure on the Tacoma country music scene, and was based in nearby, Belfair, Washington. Partnering with Bill Griffiths, the duo co-hosted their Bill & Grover TV show in Tacoma. He also co-hosted the Country Jamboree TV show along with Chubby Howard.
