Misc Notes: Korla Pandit (real name: John Redd) was a California-based organist whose Adventures In Music program debuted in February 1949 on Los Angeles' KTLA, and is credited as the television industry's first-ever all-music show. Pandit also led the way by appearing in short music videos that were picked up as filler by numerous new TV stations -- including Seattle's first, KRSC, which soon morphed into KING-TV. Over the years Pandit recorded many singles and albums of music representing a wide array of genres and styles. Pandit also toured regularly, and he built up a strong following in the Northwest, performing here at the Grenada Theater (at at 5011 California Avenue SW) many times including shows in 1964, 1965, 1968, 1972 -- and at the 2nd Avenue Theater in 1983.
