Stats: First gigged in the Roughrider Room in December 1959.
Misc Notes: Fred Skinner was an African American who began his career in 1924 as a band singer. Two of his memorable compositions were "Roll 'Em Freddie" and "Skinner Boogie." Over the years he fronted his own bands and trios. When in Seattle he often played at the Roosevelt Hotel (7th Avenue & Pine St, Seattle) -- hence his recording: "Jumpin' At The Roosevelt."
