MISC NOTES: "Dave Phillips has been associated with the Northwest lounge scene for a number of years. Long an integral part of the popular duo Dave and Suzanne, Dave is now pursuing a solo career. One of the first steps in his new endeavor has been to release a 45 rpm featuring a novelty tune titled "Godzilla Ate Tukwilla". Dave says the idea for the song just popped into his head some years back while performing. The rhyming combination of the Japanese movie monster devouring the south King County town of Tukwilla clicked, so a song was born. Over the years the tune grew to include an incalculable number of verses, some of which are captured here on plastic. Dave emphasizes that the recording was done in a "simulated live" setting to get the feeling of the song as it is when performed on stage.  For a B-side to "Godzilla" Phillips chose an up tempo banjo instrumental with a "catchy melody."
