MISC NOTES: This song first appeared in 1953 as side one, track #2 on the Debut label's 4-song EP titled Charles Mingus Octet.In 1955 Debut released Autobiography In Jazz compilation album featuring numerous jazz artists, including Thurlow's "Eclipse" (Side A, track #2). In the liner notes jazz critic Nat Hentoff wrote: "Janet Sings with difficult vocal of the sociological Eclipse with sensitive musicianship." Decades later, Debut reissued that Autobiography In Jazz LP (Debut - 198) with "Eclipse" (Side B, track #4).
