MISC NOTES: This selection first appeared in 1953 as side one, track #2 on the Debut label's 4 song EP titled Charles Mingus Octet. Ms. Thurlow, however, is not label-credited. She was/is credited when, later, "Eclipse" appeared on the Debut compilation album noted below. In liner notes on the compilation LP, regarding "Eclipse", Nat Hentoff wrote: "Janet Sings with difficult vocal of the sociological Eclipse with sensitive musicianship."
