MISC NOTES: Moppet was an imprint for Kid Stuff Inc., which was associated with Imperial Records and some of the Moppet recordings also were issued on an Imperial promo 10" disc. Billboard magazine scan is from 9.18.54. This company was also sometimes marketed as "Tiny Moppet" and was also associated with Fairbanks Records.
MISC NOTES: "Texas Jim" Lewis was nationally famous in the 1930s--1940s for performing on his "hootenanny" musical contraption -- which was a hand-built amalgamation of various percussion instruments (bells, washboard, etc) and honking horns etc. In 1950 he moved to Seattle and later became the town's first kiddie TV show host, "Sheriff Tex," on KING-TV's Sheriff Tex's Safety Junction.
