MISC NOTES: In 1953, the Starday label launched a Custom-Pressing (CP) service that charged customers $115 for 300 singles -- and an additional $60 for each order of 300 more copies. The customer -- often a small-time musician or band -- were given the option to either have the single issued under the Starday banner or a custom label name of their own choosing. Some of the Starday Custom Series 45s have attained legendary status among rockabilly collectors.
