MISC NOTES: Debut recording from a twenty-four-year-old Spokane, WA native with a background in music education and currently employed as a choral music director in the junior and senior high schools of the eastern Washington community of Colville. Having penned a number of songs over the years, Shawn says "Thank You Lord, For Harry' just "popped" into his head en the days following the May 18th eruption of Mt. St. Helens when schools and businesses of his area were paralyzed by ash fall. Lyrical focus of the up tempo country balled is respect for people like Harry Truman who stick to their beliefs despite impending danger and the feelings of others. As for "Together At Last", Shawn describes this tune as an uptempo rock number concerning itself with the unifying force of music.
