MISC NOTES: Third release in as any years for a young musical personage who has traveled throughout the U.S,, but now calls Seattle his home. Arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 1977, Delong's first public appearances were as as street musician performing around Seattle's Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market. Donations collected during such appearances led to his first release ("Lady Light" Black Lion Records (R.R. - 101 Seattle, WA 1977), a mini-LP which featured his solo street roots. A second mini-LP out in 1978 "Uptown For A Cola" (? Records, Seattle, WA) moved away from the one-man-band image, a direction which he pursues even further with his latest 45. Delong characterizes "Along The Rhine" as a slow, semi-poetic tune with a lot of intensity provided by the rhythm section. "Cattin'",he says is your "stock illiterate rocker."
