"Man As Hunter" / "I Talk To You" "(How Would You Like To Be) The Ice Man"

MISC NOTES: "Three tunes from an early Seattle new wave act called The Cheaters. Formed in early '78 by brothers Kurt and Al Bloch along with neighbors Scott Dittman and Dave Shumate, The Cheaters brief, but energetic career found them become staples in the evolving Puget Sound  new wave scene. Following appearances at Seattle's now legendary Bird the group went into Seattle's Triangle Recording to lay down these tracks and then, disbanded. Commenting on the songs, Al Bloch characterizes "Man As Hunter" as a wild tempo number building to an internal climax. Lyrically it focuses on man as a predator.  Al describes "I Talk To You" as a heavily bass-dominated tune, while "(How Would You Like To Be) The Ice Man" is another instrumentally wild tune about "doing others in".  A complete lyric sheet accompanies each disc."
