MISC NOTES: Thirty year old Northwest native Pepper Porter has been playing guitar most of his life with a flair that has found him tagged as both flamboyant and wild. "That wildness," says Porter, "comes naturally." Porter has developed that style within a number of West Coast acts including Window, Cherub, Ice and, now, his own Pepper Porter Band. First formed in 1978, The Pepper Porter Band recorded the debut album presented here and promptly disbanded. Now, with the tracks on vinyl with Seattle's First American Records the act is reunited and performing their brand of sophisticated rock throughout the Northwest. Commenting on the album's focus, Porter characterizes Side A as and 'cruisin' with with Side-B falling in more laid back and "spacey." Liner notes feature lyrics to all seven songs penned by Porter and bassist Steve Teasley. [ Northwest Disc-coveries & Sound Report Vol. 6, #5 July, 1981]
