Nineteen years old at the time of this recording, Williams was a member of the Town Hall Party TV show. The record was reviewed in Cash Box magazine on 9.28.57: "Gary Williams demonstrates that he's a talent to be reckoned with as he convincingly renders this heartfelt, quick paced, sentimental piece. Strong showing for Verve's intro into the C&W field."
