The original working title for "Riot City" was "Surfer Plus."

Guitarist Alan Park: "The downfall of the ("Riot City") tune was the fact that it got released at the same exact moment that the Watts riots (August 10 - 16, 1965) took place in Los Angeles. CA.   As a result it was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
