MISC:
In the wake of the late-1963 national breakout of "Louie, Louie" Jerden was plagued by bootlegged copies of their original 45. The fraudulent discs, however, are not exact reproductions of the originals, having different physical characteristics and stamper codes. While it is not known who was behind these reproductions, it seems likely the bootleggers - and their pressing plants - were active on both coasts as well as in the mid west.

The Kingsmen's original recording of  of "Louie, Louie"  has been issued on numerous "45 rpm oldies" labels.

In 1978 both tracks were reportedly reissued on a pink* wax replica Jerden 45. Known to be  in existance is a translucent red disc. Finally, there is also a blue disc.*
