MISC NOTES: "Solo debut for a thirty-seven-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist who got his musical start some ten years back when he formed a band called The Monks while with the Army in Germany. Returning to the Pacific Northwest, Dave worked as a single in lounges for a couple of years before hanging up his musical career to pursue other ventures. Now, he's back into music with a 45 rpm recording. As for his song choices, he describes "I Want The Right To Be Free" as an up tempo light rock number with lyrical content based on the personal experience of being stranded in Germany for six months while awaiting return to the U.S. "G. I. Blues", says Dave, is the old Elvis Presley tune with more of a '50s rock n' roll arrangement." The preceding originally appeared in NORTHWEST DISC-COVERIES & SOUND REPORT Volume 4 #9 November, 1979.
