MISC NOTES: This single was recorded by the Raiders while Paul Revere -- being a Quaker and conscientious objector -- was in Oregon doing his alternate service after being drafted by the military. The rest of the band carried on  for a while, recording a couple songs, and finishing up some dance bookings. Los Angeles studio pianist, Leon Russell, filled in for Revere on a temporary basis. Then the group broke up, until Revere and Mark Lindsay revived it with new members in Portland in late-1962.

MISC NOTES:

"All the Raiders  revered the Wailers. They'd even paid tribute by recording their own versions of the Wailers "Tall Cool One" and "Road Runner" for Gardena Records, an exceedenly rare instance of a label issuing covers of both sides of another act's previously released single."
