"Human Monkey" / "Someday"

SERIAL#: AF-1113
DATE: 1966

Acetate disc, Chris Marsall Collection

MISC NOTES: Artist credit on the vinyl single's label: FRANTICS. Interestingly on the earlier acetate disc, "Human Monkey" is credited to "Mosely" while the later commercial release credits Stevenson & Miller as composers. These songs were recorded in March 1966, and the vinyl single was released that July. Mosley quit the Frantics in July, Denise "Mary Microgram" Kaufman (one of Ken Kesey's Merry Pranksters) then joined up and they were briefly recast as Luminous Marsh Gas. Then in November Mosley rejoined Miller and Stevenson to form Moby Grape.
