Paul Revere And The Raiders

SERIAL#: 1001
DATE: 1963-08?

MISC NOTES: This live album was recorded sometime after the Raiders signed their contract with Columbia Records in May 1963. That contract, as cleverly negotiated by band manager Roger Hart, stipulated that it wouldn't be activated until September. This left the entire upcoming summer season for Hart and the band to do as they pleased - and they chose to cut this album during a teen dance at the Division Street Corral dance hall and issue it on Hart's Sande label.

That original Sande disc was pressed in a limited quantity of 500 units. Then, in 1964 Seattle's Jerden Records (JRL-7004 and JRLS-7004) reissued it. Jerden also produced a 6-song mini-LP version for jukebox play. As a selection on the Capitol Record Club the album remained on the Jerden label, but received a new number (T- 90709). Somewhere along the way came a  Sears label (SPS-493) reissue and an  appearance on the budget Pickwick/33 (SPC-3176) label, The record was released  again in the 1980s via Tacoma's Etiquette Records. This unit  featured the original Sande label coloring and packaging format. Another release came as part of a six-album boxed set (Sande / Etiquette) titled The Northwest Collection.
