Reely Rockin'

SERIAL#: 6000
DATE: 2000s

MISC NOTES: Subtiitle: "A Compilation Of Unreleased Material From Reel -To-Reel Tapes And Acetate Discs Featuring Early Northwest Rock And Roll Bands." This compact disc seems to be a "home-made" compilation album replete with typed song titles and band names. Its origins remain unknown but, likely, it is  from Oregon as the disc itself features graphics based on Portland's old Rex Recording Company logo. Some of the songs were previously released on discs, while others, seemingly, were not. [Note: The Champs - who originally hit  it big back in 1958 with "Tequila" - was a California band that ,in 1961, recruited Oregon-based drummer, Gary Nieland,  into their lineup. Exactly why South Dakota's Myron Lee was included on this, ostensibly Northwest-oriented compilation remains another mystery.]
